Eldar Shalamberidze Art School
Zestaponi, 7 Bibilashvili St.
The reconstruction of the art school at 7 Bibilashvili Street, in the centre of Zestaponi, aims at a contemporary, flexible and comfortable learning environment that supports teaching and creative work. The project pays particular attention to function, daylight and the comfortable use of space.
The defining feature of the design is a repeated arched form that shapes the building’s character and joins traditional motifs with a contemporary aesthetic. White facades combined with warm terracotta elements make a strong and balanced composition.
Large glazed surfaces strengthen the visual link between inside and outside, and daylight makes the interior feel brighter and more open.
At the heart of the building is an inner atrium under a glass roof. This naturally lit space connects the building’s different parts and becomes a shared place for students, teachers and visitors.
